E-Commerce Account Manager

Surya is looking for an E-Commerce Account Manager to join our e-commerce team. The E-Commerce Account Manager is responsible for growing relationships with key accounts, achieving sales targets, profitability and ensuring complete channel partner success. Ideal candidates will be energetic and organized self-starters, have a strong sales background and experience working with a diverse range of companies. The E-Commerce Account Manager directs the achievement of short and long term business objectives, is responsible for complete account ownership and achievement of annual sales budgets, while aligning internal and external stakeholders to drive results. Successful candidates will also possess a high analytical acumen, strong presentation skills, and the ability to leverage resources that drive category growth.

Principle Responsibilities Include:

  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts
  • Work with customers to plan and set performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive key account relationship
  • Meet sales targets and strategic objectives with assigned accounts
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate account sales, marketing and technology needs on a regular basis
  • Own and drive Surya participation in events and conferences
  • Work across internal teams to ensure that customer service, technology, and all other SLA requirements are met
  • Collaboration with merchandising and product development to deliver impactful assortments that drive channel growth
  • Continually review and document processes to improve the e-commerce sales program
  • Build and present sales reports
  • Manage, analyze, and recommend channel partner promotional activities and plans
  • Collaboration with the e-commerce content syndication team to ensure all channel partner business requirements are met
  • Research, analyze, and document the competitive landscape
  • Work with company leadership to drive category growth and results


  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, or Merchandising
  • Ability to own the complete sales cycle, while managing all internal and external relationships
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • E-Commerce account management and/or digital  merchandising experience
  • High aptitude for learning new software and understanding new technologies
  • Proficiency in business tools including Microsoft Office and various product information management systems
  • Proven ability to meet sales quotas and business development targets
  • Ability to own, create, and manage strategic business plans
  • Customer exception management and solution implementation
  • Project Management
  • Proficiency in managing new product launches with channel partners
  • This position requires occasional travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a high growth, rapidly changing work environment
  • B2B sales training or experience
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or SQL
  • Experience in the home décor industry
  • Merchandising experience
  • High analytical skills
  • Product assortment development and management
